Wow, 1 year has passed since we made our
decision to embark on this adventure and we are now counting down the days! On
October 20th we will be heading to Australia and are super excited to
experience this country and spend some quality time with my
aunt, uncle, and cousins (Terry’s side).
Over the course of 5 weeks we plan to
focus our time primarily in the state of New South Wales (NSW) and Tasmania. At some point we'll be in a camper van driving the Great Ocean Road between Melbourne and Adelaide as well. Other than that...the rest is open ended! We hope that this will give us free time and flexibility for spontaneity instead of planning out every minute (which I was very prone to do in previous travels).
After Australia it will be off to New Zealand for another 5 weeks, 3 weeks on the south island in a camper van and 2 weeks on the north island in an AirBnB where we'll be meeting my parents to celebrate my mom's 60th!
